Welcome to the children’s department where our goal is to provide a safe, inviting space for children from babies through sixth grade to explore everything the library has to offer.  We strive to offer something for everyone, from books and movies to exciting programs that encourage lifelong learning and entertainment.

Children's Visiting Guidelines

(Effective March 7, 2022)

The Children's department is OPEN for browsing and limited computer use! Masks are encouraged, but not required. Items can be requested and picked up in the children's department.  Children are allotted a maximum of two half-hour sessions on the computer a day. Curbside Pickup and online resources are still available. Catalog lists have been created for children who are required to select books in their guided reading level.  Click here for the most up to date listing.  If you have any questions, please call us at 201.641.0689.

Children's staff are available to serve you:

Monday - Thursday 9:30 am - 8:00 pm

Friday 9:30 am - 5:30 pm

Saturday 9:30 am to 1:00 pm.

Programming events will be offered in person at the library.
