Teen Summer Reading Program

For those entering grades seven through twelve.

Welcome! Our summer reading program has two parts. The first part lets you keep track of what you are reading to win prizes. The second, optional part lets you take part in our reading challenge to win more raffle tickets.

When recording your reading, remember:

100 Novel pages = 300 Manga/Graphic Novel Pages = 3 hours Audiobook

What does this mean?

You reach your first prize at 200 novel pages or 600 Manga/Graphic Novel pages or 6 hours Audiobook. Turns out your math teacher was right, you do need to know how to balance an equation in real life!

You said something about prizes?

You receive the first prize just for signing up! You will receive the second prize after the first 200 pages. At that point you will receive a raffle ticket for every 200 pages you complete. You can earn additional raffle tickets by taking part in our reading challenge. Raffle winners will be drawn in September after summer reading ends.

What about the reading challenge?

For anyone who wants to earn more raffle tickets or have guided reading during the summer, you can opt-in to our reading challenge. Earn extra raffle tickets by completing the summer reading challenge. Raffle tickets will be awarded for every three books read. If all ten books are read 3 bonus tickets and a book prize will be awarded.  You may not double count books for the challenge.
