Teen Summer Reading Program
For those entering grades seven through twelve.
June 22nd-August 13th 2020
Welcome! Our summer reading program has two parts. The first part lets you keep track of what you are reading to win prizes. The second, optional part lets you take part in our reading challenge to win more raffle tickets.
Part 1: Just Read!
1 book=1 raffle ticket
For every one (1) book, manga, or graphic novel that you check out from the library, you will receive one (1) raffle ticket.
Part 2: The Reading Challenge
Enter the reading challenge for a chance to earn extra tickets! For every three (3) books you read during the reading challenge, you will receive one (1) bonus ticket. If you complete all ten books on the challenge list, you will receive three (3) bonus tickets! Make sure you keep track! You can download the challenge list here.
You said something about prizes?
You will receive your first raffle ticket just by signing up for the Summer Reading program! You can gain additional tickets by checking out books throughout the summer and participating in our Summer Reading Challenge. Two raffle winners will be drawn each week and one grand prize winner will be drawn at the conclusion of the program.
How do I register?
For teens entering 7th through 12th grade you can register online with your valid library card beginning June 22nd through August 13th. The first 20 teens to sign up will receive a free summer reading kit and a complimentary raffle ticket. Register via READsquared here.
