Movies for the Over 18 Crowd—Thurs., 10/3, 11/7, 12/5 - 2:00 p.m.  All movies are on the first Thursday of the month starting at 2:00 P.M.  So why not come by, enjoy a cup of coffee or tea, a donut and a free movie on us.

 

Book Sale—Thurs., 10/10-10/12 see calendar for times. Friends of the Library semi-annual book and bake sale. Donations accepted beginning September, 2019.

 

Hand Building Pottery—Thurs., 10/17 7:00—8:30 p.m.  Hands-on demonstration and help, plus all tools and materials, conveniently brought to your location. Sessions are lively and satisfying. The finished, fired and glazed product makes a great keepsake or gift. Develop the artist within you or lead your group in a constructive, positive experience.

 

ESL Conversation Class— Mon. 10/21, 10/28, 11/4, 11/18, 11/25, 12/2, 12/8, 12/16, 12/23 6:30—7:30 p.m. Talk with native speakers and other language learners about current events, travel, money, family, holidays and much more. For adults 16 years old or older. This program is provided in partnership with the Friends of Ridgefield Park Public Library.

Christmas Traditions— Thurs., 12/12  7:00-8:00 p.m. Kevin Woyce will use original photographs, vintage images, and live music to explore favorite Christmas Traditions, from the 

First Christmas to "A Christmas Carol," "White Christmas," and the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree. He will also explain how historical figures ranging from Saint Nicholas, Martin Luther, and Queen Victoria to Charles Dickens and Thomas Nast helped shape the way we celebrate the Christmas Season.

 

Adult Video/Board Game Night—Fri., 10/25, 11/22, 12/13 6:00–8:00 p.m. Need a night out? Do you like to play video games or board games? Why not come to the library? We will be hosting a video/board game night for adults only, with refreshments. We will be playing video games and will also have some board games setup if anyone wishes not to play video games. Festival of the Wreaths—Tues., 11/19–Fri., 12/6 (exhibition). One of a kind, hand-crafted wreaths will be on display at the library from Tuesday, 11/19 until Friday, 12/5. Make a donation and you may be able to take one of these beautiful wreaths to your holiday home. The Festival of Wreaths Celebration will be held from 7:00 p.m.– 9:00 p.m. on Fri., 12/6. Participants are asked to bring a favorite holiday finger food for sharing on the dessert buffet. Entertainment and a visit from Santa will be included.
